EPOC is a efficient public-key encryption algorithm. It has been
mathematically proven that EPOC cannot be broken under the assumptions
that hash function outputs are random, and that factoring problems are
difficult. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers,
Inc. (IEEE) has written EPOC into the public-key encryption and
authentication standard specification P1363, which will be published in
2001.
