Config Files

On the central machine (the "piktmaster"), there are eight controlling config files:

  • systems.cfg
  • defines.cfg
  • macros.cfg
  • alerts.cfg
  • alarms.cfg
  • objects.cfg
  • programs.cfg
  • files.cfg
A config file can incorporate one or more other files by means of the #include directive.  Config files can also include processes.

Not all config files are necessary.  It is possible to deploy PIKT in a partial configuration, with subsets of the eight basic config file types.  systems.cfg is always required, but the rest are all optional.
