It is supposed to be single speed. sustained transfer rate = 150 kbytes/secons Burst transfer rate = 2.1 Mbytes / second (from manual) now my neighbor has a sony cdu31a caddyless (ahem this is same as mine) however his is supposed to be a double speed. I don't have his manual handy but the numbers show double speed type transfer rates. so, what is up? Was there a factory upgarde to some cdu31a's? or is there another explanation? any info you have would be appreciated. werdna@iastate.edu
