Can anyone describe to me what the DOS error message "Divide overflow" is
trying to tell me? I get it when I try accessing my cdrom drive, such as
after a DIR command.

I think it is a hardware error, as I've created a minimal startup
diskette and have been to use it on a similarly configured CD-ROM workstation
without error, but my office machine won't read the drive.

I am able to get MSCDEX to load properly and I can switch to the CD's drive
letter.

An help would be appreaciated.
