It seems to work quite well except for a few situations in which some strange things occur. Perhaps someone out there has already dealt with similar problems? It semms that Shepard doesn't properly exit users from the application that they have been using, even when it goes through the same procedure as someone manually exiting that same application. When a single-user application is involved Shepard may exit from the application and return to the main menu, but the next user of that application will get the message "Maximum number of users already logged on to application" (even if nobody is logged into it, and Novell shows that nobody even has that file open). After a period of time (which seems to be random), users will be able to access that application again. This causes problems with the applications licensed for small numbers of users... anybody encountered this? Also: does anyone know where the developer of Shepard has gone? His address at the U of Alaska doesn't seem to work anymore. Also, does anyone know if Shepard 2.0 was ever released? If so, what FTP site is it in?
