Another T7G help!

Well, Im not sure which chess you are refering to, the one in the parlor
or in the bedroom. The parlor is the one with the Queens... for that one
you need to place the queens in a position where none are treatening each
other, there are eight. Try to build a pettern..  In the parlor there are
knights.. that one you need to swap black with white pices, work at
moving one at a time.  You probbably know this, but downstairs, to the
right of the stairs, the room on you right (with the telescope) has a
book which will give you a small (sometimnes VERY small) clue. But, how
the hey did you solve the cans? I'm stumped on that right now...
obviously the Y's have to stand for any vowel right??? If you could help
out it would be appreciated..
