I also had a problem with my nice new 486DX2 66 recently in trying to get RA working. The problem I had was with the BIOS. I have AMI BIOS dated 08/08/93 (I think), there is a setting somewhere called 'TURBO FUNCTION SETTING' or something like that. If set to ENABLED it caused any piece of software that uses DOS4GW.EXE to crash. If you have the same BIOS then try setting it to DISABLED. This might solve your problem.
