The MYST trouble shooting guide said to increase my 3MB windows swap file. I tried to increase it from 3MB enough to get the 10MB (real+virtual) that the MYST manual said I needed. The problem is that Windows refused to let me increase my swapfile enough to get 10MB total. My disk is not fragmented, and has over 100MB free. The largest swapfile I can get is just under 4MB. I can specify a larger swapfile in the dialog, but if I do then I get a warning box that pops up and tells me that anything higher than the Windows-recommended swap file size will be ignored. Sure enough, it allocates the bigger swap file on disk, but it still only uses the portion of it up to the recommended size. Ideas anyone? I'm going to return MYST in a few days if I can't solve this problem.
