An example: We publish the CD-ROM of CD-ROMs and are doing just exactly what Mr. Hermansen suggests: That is, we are publishing dealer's catalog prices on our next issue of CoC. It is taking a tremendous amount of work and we have had to make major changes in our database software, but it will be released in early April and will be updated at least bi-monthly from then on (until we can release it monthly). CoC is a multimedia database that provides a substantial amount of information, including graphics and sound AND dealers' prices and ordering information. If you find a title you like, you click on an icon and display the prices from every dealer on the disc. Of course, the cheapest displays on top - and we even go so far as to calculate mailing costs and service in determining who is cheapest. We also invite feedback from buyers that use the various re-sellers, and will post their mail/comments on the next issue of CoC along with any response from the sellers. Our disc runs under Windows 3.1 (although we have re-written most of the user interface and have our own libraries, etc) retails at $39.95 plus $5.00 shipping and handling, or $120.00 for a six issue one-year subscription. We also publish all the critical reviews we have been generating (you may have seen our annoying list of titles for review?). Rgds Jan R.
