I got qtw.exe by ftp from gatekeeper.dec.com in /pub/micro/msdos/win3/desktop

The file seems recent:
-r--r--r-- 1 root system 571834 Feb 17 12:53 qtw.exe
No year indication usually means "no older than a year", i.e. 94 in
this case.

Looking for ascii strings in the file I found:

| Disk eXPress Self-Extract Diskette Image (OS/2 and DOS)
| Version 2.10a 02/12/93 Copyright (c) 1991-93 SHAREWARE VERSION

But no clue on whether these 2 lines are connected (the fact that they
followed each other in my output may be due to chance), or whether the
version number is for qtw.exe, or for something else.

Unix people usually make sources available for their (freeware)
programs... too bad it is not the same for PCs.
