Many implmentations of ftp will do a Unix compress on a file before
sending it if you append .Z (case sensitive) to the file name when you
request the file.  I do not know if the one that NCR uses does this, but
it sure don't hurt to try.  By the way, the previous version that they had
up there (10k) was compressed.
