I have a Gateway 2K tower, which I keep horizontally, which makes the CD drive to sit vertically. It seems that I have more slips in this position than when I place the tower in the upright position (which makes the drive horizontal). I wonder if the position of the drive has any bearing on the playback performance of CD ROMs. It might be something related to the cables, connectors. But it might be related to the drive, and then I have to talk to Toshiba and I would like to know if such things as track slipping happen. Of course, this could also be related to the Workman driver not tracking well ... Thank you very much for any pointers. You might want to reply by email. Marius -- SIG
