Barry Pickles writes -
- Just got the full details on the new multimedia magazine that is being
- launced on March 24:
-
- Title is "Multimedia & CD-ROM World"
etc.
- After my experience with PC HOME, I shall *not* be subscribing to this one
etc.

In addition there are other magazines being launched. CDROM is the flavour of
the month.

One of these is having issue 1 bundled with next month's issue of Computer
Shopper, due out the 1st week of April. Although I can't remember the title of
this magazine, it is definitely a different title to the one Barry posted, as I
compared the flyer and the ad in Computer Shopper.

The magazine PC Power has started mounting cover CDs this month. It is
available in 2 flavours, either HD floppy disk or CDROM, at different prices.
This month's CDROM has 60 game demos.

I had a chat with the bloke in Smith's. He mentioned at least one other title,
which I also can't remember, due out during the next month.

Adding these to PC Home, which is already available in both floppy and CD
formats, there will very shortly be 5 PC and CDROM based magazines. I also
noticed that there is at least one title each for Amiga and Sega.

Unlike Barry, I shall be subscribing to Multimedia & CD-Rom World, although at
present I have no reason to suppose that it is any better than any other
magazine. However the subscription offer does allow you to get a refund of the
unused portion of the subscription at any time. So I shall give it a whirl.

Best regards,
John Blundell
