We've met in the flesh but never on here before.

I've just written the driver for our Ultimate Expansion System CD ROM drive
which uses a Mitsumi FX001D drive. From the background research I did for this
it seems that plenty of drives are only capable of reading the Q sub channel
which contains time code and track information (apart from during the lead-in
to the disc when it contains the TOC, times only - no text that I've seen).

I've got a book somewhere which says what the subchannels are allocated to,
and I've got the SCSI interface spec for some Sony drive or other which I
will dig out and send if you think it would help (I'll check first that it
contains the info. you need).

Could you name an audio CD which has this info; it seems that plenty of them
probably don't
