Tim's own argument is self contradictory. Before alt.cd-rom.reviews, all
CD-ROM reviews were lumped into a single catagory under alt.cd-rom while
competing with an equal number of no less important hardware technical
postings. Now at least the reviews can be seperated out, and users
interested in them can go directly to alt.cd-rom.reviews for info about
specific cdrom titles.

Clearly Tim takes all USENET readers alt.cd-rom as fools. Again, I don't
think so Tim! These are intelligent people, with an avid interest in the
subject of cd-roms. As the number of users blossom, so do the questions
about what titles to buy and which ones to avoid. Alt.cd-rom.reviews has
a very defined and important niche.

Oh contrare. I'm afraid who ever left Tim "lord of alt" didn't exactly
do as complete a job as Tim would like to think. You see, in spite of
Tim's efforts to kill it, ALT.CD-ROM.REVIEWS DOES EXIST. Maybe not in
Tim's little domain, but I know this...I read postings made to it EVERY
DAY. And for a news group that's only a few weeks old, I think that's
pretty good testimony to the interest cdrom users have in it. Postings
come from all over the US. I see them from U. of Penn., U. of Scranton,
U. of Mass., Texas, California, Ottawa Canada, Brigham Young, etc., etc.

I'm affraid it's hard to argue with the will of the people. And the
people are speaking. Lighten up Tim...users want it, need it, and are
using it.
