Myst (MPC, i.e., need windows to run) - Cerebral tale of fantasy and betrayal using sharply detailed, mystical grahpics spun together with simple animations, enchanting music, and series of puzzles leading to one overall solutions. Just Awesome! 2. Day of the Tentacle (DOS) - Like a Saturday morning cartoon only better. One nutty professor and three teenagers travel through time to save the world from a mutated tentacle. CD ported from floppy with digitized speech added. Pure fun :) BTW, this game is known as D.O.T.T. 3. The Journeyman Project (MPC) - Great story sci-fi game. Good music and graphics. This could be #2 but slow speed kinda let me down :( And I have 486DX2/66 with double speed CD-ROM drive. 4. Critical Path (MPC) - Latest of the interruptible movie genre but cut about rest due to tremendous video production values. Follow heroine through dangerous encounters. Only problem was too quick :( But I loved this game! 5. Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers (DOS/MPC) - Port from floppy simply adds voices and how-we-made-this movie. Gritty graphics, rough and dark -- appropriate for voodoo detective story. I don't have this one yet :( I should receiving it soon (sigh). But most of people I talked to love this game :) Following game are very cool too: The 7th Guest (DOS), Rebel Assault (DOS), Return to Zork (DOS), Might and Magic: World of Xeen (DOS), Iron Helix (MPC), Hell Cab (MPC), and Dracula Unleashed (DOS). Also following games will be release soon and they will be even better (I hope): Outpost (by Sierra On-Line/MPC) - Earth destroyed by meteors, so you seek new planets to colonize. Developo new technologies and fight bad guys, bad weather, and more meteors. This will set standard for sim games on CD-ROM. I can't wait to get this one ^_^ Under a Killing Moon (by Access Software/DOS) - Approaches true interactivity with TV-quality graphics and video. Clever and compelling story line; sanppy and sarcastic dialogue. This will be on 2 CD-ROM, I believe this will set new standard for CD-ROM entertainment industory :) XIth Hour: The 7th Guest, Part II (By Trilobyte/Virgin - DOS) - Pushes beyond The 7th Guest in gaming and technology. Adds TV-qulity video, stereo sound, better graphics, and a contemporary story with more sophisticated and believable actors. This will be Another Classic :) Star Trek: The Next Generation (by Spectrum Holobyte/DOS) - Coming in May. Go on mission to find the Fifth Scroll. Maneuver the Enterprise through 3D space, visiting alien planets. This CD will be true to look and feel of TV series. I got mixed reviews for this one (sigh). Cheers! -Ike
