Message-ID: Organization: NETCOM On-line Communication Services (408 241-9760 guest) Date: Mon, 4 Apr 1994 03:04:31 GMT Lines: 10 Is there any reason to register after buying a new CDROM? Obviously these software companies want to send out junk mail, which is as natural for them as photosynthesis for a plant. However we already get plenty of junk mail. Has anybody ever received a free upgrade, notification of bug workarounds, or any other useful information because they have registered a CDROM? The function of a CDROM is like that of a book, and book publishers never ask you to register.
