Typically, MSCDEX v2.1 and 2.2  expect MSDOS 4.0. To use it with newer
versions of DOS, you need to run the SETVER program that comes with DOS.
This 'lies' to programs that query for the DOS version via a software INT
request. SETVER should have MSCDEX predefined, so just add SETVER in your 
autoxec.bat before the MSCDEX line.
