There are 2 solutions to your problem of having games that need lots of system
resources (like lots of RAM space).

1.  Use DOS 6.2 which lets you have multiple config files.  or

2.  Make up a floppy that you boot from only when playing these games.

I know it's a pain to have to reboot, but you only do it once in a while.
