Stephen, I don't know anything about the non-multispin 3xi, but you might call NEC's Faxback (1-800-366-0476) if you're in the US and have a fax, or call 1-800-NEC-INFO for product literature, or call their BBS at 508.635.4706 8N1. I can say this, from their CDROM fax: The Multispin 3Xi has a front panel LCD, is MPC2, Quicktime, Kodak Multi- session Photo CD, and XA Ready compliant. Switchable SCSI 1/ SCSI 2 port. 2 Year warranty. 450 kb/sec xfer rate and 195mS acces time. Burst tranfer (sync) rate is 4.0 MB/sec. Has on-board 256KB cache. Hope that helps :) Dave
