We make and sell the movie almanac on CD-ROM. Although the price to make the disc is only about 2 or 3 bucks, the rights to the material, the magazine ads, the cost to create the picture inserts on the box, and pay the people to do all that costs alot more than you might think. The rights for the material alone can be as much as $20,000. We also have about 30 other titles from our full length interactive movie Dream Machine, to really high-res color picture discs shot by a pro that shoots for Penthouse etc. The really class stuff costs alot by the time you are done. The public domain giff stuff is for the most part ...... crap. Most of it is cheap, and is worth about what you pay for it. The good stuff costs alot more than just the price of pressing the CD-ROM disc. We have a CD-ROM sampler disc that we send out for our cost to make it (6.95) so you can see how good our stuff looks before you spend big bucks. Thats the only way to be fair for both of us. Right?
