Actually, John, a CD will hold up to 650 megs of stuff on it, so the 750 
that you have would really take up 1 cd plus a sixth of another. Since 
your working with images, it is probably better to leave them 
uncompressed for the quality factor.

I know it isn't much help, but maybe it will get you some additional
