I mean, is this any different than having your character receive 10,000 Gold Pieces because you got to the end of a video game? The ending is about right for this game. Something that tells you that you have solved the puzzles and you are free to look all you want. I mean games can't provide real world payoffs. The closest that you can get to that would be a password that would allow you to access some "secret" files on the CDROM that had more amazing graphics or more entertaining mood music, but eventually someone would publish the secret word (unless it were different for each disk, but now we're talking expensive). In my opinion, the "payoff" for winning is *playing*. Myst was a very entertaining game. I look forward to the next one. I'll keep this one, because in a couple of months I might want to wander through and enjoy the scenary and background music again. Mark Runyan
