Message-ID: Lines: 28 Sender: news@usenet.ucs.indiana.edu (USENET News System) Nntp-Posting-Host: jithomas.admissions.indiana.edu Organization: Star Fleet Academy X-Newsreader: Trumpet for Windows [Version 1.0 Rev A] Date: Mon, 2 May 1994 18:44:00 GMT I'm very frustrated by the fact that, in spite of my installing the Rebel14 patch, my joystick is still squirrely. Before the patch I couldn't even calibrate the thing, now I can. Only, whenever I lock onto anything and press the fire button, the sight jumps off and refused to lock. Doesn't matter what it is, which screen, I've even tried it wil RAEASY and it's the same story. It's not my joystick, I've got 4 different sticks from 3 different manufactures and they all do the same thing. Yes, I've disabled my memory manager, with no luck. I'd try different drivers on my sound card, but it takes so long that it's overwhelming to keep plugging in values and starting over. *sigh* Anyone else had this problem? (I remember someone else mentioning it but didn't hear how/if they solved it.) Also, my digitized speech takes odd moments of slurring (Okay, kid, go RRRRRRRRRight.) I thought THAT was addressed, too, but don't know what to do. I'm dismayed that a game that sells for 65 dollars can't even be made to work right. What's the deal? Sorry if this sounds bitchy, that's not my intent, but I AM pretty frustrated. Advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Jithomas@ucs.indiana.edu
