When I installed my Creative Labs double speed, windows wouldn't
recognize it either. Luckly I have the Windows Resource Kit. It
suggested for this problem (they even have a flow-chart for it) that
'Device=LANMAN10.386' be added to the [386Ehn] section of the system.ini
file. That in itself didn't fix it. But in the section that discusses
the system.ini file it also mentiones that 'cd-rom=2:lanman10.386' needs
to be added to the [special_adapter] section of the system.ini in order
for windows to recognize CD ROM extensions. One other thing was
necessary and that was to read the directory at least once before
entering Windows. Leaving any one of those three things out resulted on
my system of not being able to access the CD-ROM in Windows Ehn. I
would be nice of the manuals would reference these things somewhere.
