One explanation given for the sudden drop in the volume of
postings on the mailing list CDROM-L is that schools are
going into finals weeks.

I don't believe for one minute this is the reason for the drop
in volume of postings.  For one thing, a check of earlier
Digests of CDROM-L show that when we were getting 50 to 80
posts a day, very large numbers of those were from .com domains.

Anybody know the REAL reason for the sudden drop to as few as
2 posts during a given day?
