It's not exactly the last word of technology, but soundcard is original PAS16 (16bit recording and playback), and CD-ROM drive is double speed (brands may vary). This kit was available directly from Media Vision (that's where I got mine) for only $249.00 plus they included additional software, that's not included with retail version(more games, what else did you expect? ;) So far I'm pretty happy with the kit, it did give me couple small problems, but their technical support is pretty good, and everything is working fine now.
