They claimed that this will make CD-ROM drives even more prevalent and cheaper in coming years. I'm not well-versed in HW interfaces so excuse the stupid question... Are SCSI and IDE compatible to the extent that if I burned a disc using a SCSI-connected CD-R drive, would an IDE-connected CD-ROM drive be able to read it, assuming ISO9660 format?
