  Yes there is a patch for 1.7 (well... I'm not sure, but there _is_ a 
file called "rebel17.zip" ).  I just saw it yesterday on wuarchive yesterday.
It's in ..MSDOS_UPLOADS/patches or MSDOS_UPLOADS/games/patches.
