The performance has been pretty disappointing so far. MPC Wizard 2 gave me the following numbers: Transfer rate at 100% CPU utilization: 285K/s 60% " " " : 208 40% " " " : 136 It also gave me a reading of 33ms access time. What the hell is that? Also, Myst has been giving me problems. Whenever I try to change a number in the cauldron room, the game will not respond to any input, even though I can still move the mouse around. There is a little static during most of the sounds too. Audio CD's sound very good though. My system is a 486 DX2-50, 256K cache, ISA bus, PAS-16 (using version 3.12 of TSLCDR.SYS), 8 Megs, Trident 8900C (using version 5.1 drivers), MSCDEX.EXE version 2.23 (using 20 buffers). Could someone please give me some suggestions for improving performance? From what I've heard, the PAS-16 isn't the best controller in the world, to say the least even though its supposedly capable of sustaining a 690K/s transfer rate, though there must be more to it than that. Anyway all comments and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Bill
