Got my new NEC 3xP in the post the other day and bought the NEC interface
after Future Domain told me it would cost > $80 for drivers.  Got it going OK
but it seemed to make a lot of noise and it wouldn't read a couple of my discs.
Art Gallery would start up OK but would give me a 'couldn't read from disc'
error at odd times.  I look at the disc and there is a big circular scratch
on the thing!  I look at the other discs and they have the same kind of
scratch - more or less.  I had the discs in firmly, but apparently the discs
were rubbing against something while they spun.  Am sending it back tomorrow
for a replacement, but has anyone else had this problem?  ARGH!
