Well I remember getting hold of a zip which contained, I think, Unix files
which had longer than dos filenames. When I unzipped it, the filenames were
truncated. So you could try zipping the file first (assuming that zip allows
you to put in the long name, or you could use a wildcard).

It's worth a try...
