The first drive is an internal Sony CDU-8012S with rev. 3.1e ROMs. I can use the drive under Linux and OS/2 with- out doing anything special, but under MS-DOS I have to run a program to change the block size from 512 to 2048. This isn't really much of a problem, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to set the drive to use a block size of 2048 permanently. The second drive is a Chinon CDX-431 external drive. I don't seem to have any problems using the drive, but there are six dip switches on the back of the drive, and I have no documentation to tell me what the switches do. I have figured out that switches 1 through 3 set the SCSI ID, but the rest are a mystery. Can anyone help? Thanks. -- Eric Dittman Texas Instruments - Component Test Facility dittman@skitzo.dseg.ti.com (214) 480-7313 Disclaimer: Not even my opinions. I found them by the side of the road.
