Walnut Creek CD ROM, and others produce DOS CD ROMS that contain THOUSANDS of
shshareware program, including games. These disks are
available for as little as $24.95. Many games support AD LIB, etc. Buy a
copy of CD ROM world, or similar magazine, and look at the ads in the back.
Many DOS games are very good. Windows requires more power, memory, etc.
However, Windows is simply where the market is, whic means a company will
sell more copies of a Windows product. Many new multi media computer owners
have their systems set up for Windows only. They don't even know they can
run their sound card, midi, etc from DOS.
