It may be that they are saying that the disc will not have a System 6
format desktop file on it.  When making the master, you can do one
final boot of the hard disk on a Mac running SYstem 6 and the System
6 desktop is built.  This cures the potential for problems (if your
CD has a bunch of files and no System 6 desktop file it will not
mount under System 6).
