I have read reports of this drive being horribly incompatible without a 
firmare upgrade. Unfortunately, I have the OEM version of the drive, and it
would be difficult to return it. Is this drive THAT incompatible with software 
that I will be running?  (MPC stuff, Games, data CD's). In other words, do 
these problems occur with just a few CD's out there, or will I experience 
problems with everything?  The drive works great so far with my SB16 SCSI-2, 
and I'm worrying about the future-I doubt I can get a firmware update from 
anyone. 

Any ideas?
