I have an Omni CD Drive (official Creative labs issue) that is acting weird. 
it's making 'grinding' noises when it accesses the CD. The TS person at CL 
tells me it might be caused bny screwing the drive in too tightly into the 
case, but leaving it loose has not solved this problem. Any ideas? (Even if we 
have to open the case?)
The drive should still be under warranty (8 mos old), but I would rather void 
the warranty and get it working than wait however long to get it back. Has 
anyone ever returned anything to CL for service? 
Btw, the drive appears to access the data correctly, but the noise is rather 
disconcerting.
