We have had a Panasonic drive for about 8 months now. Just recently it
has started coming up with drive not ready and taking a considerable
time to initialise new CDs. This past weekend it finally switched to
doing this pememnantly. The drive interface etc is all unchanged but I
did try a spare drive card and replacing the drivers just in case but
all to no avail.

Are these symptoms familiar to anyone ? Is there anything I can do to
revive it ? or is it dead ?
