No easy solution to microscope puzzle and you are competeing against a
computer that knows the optimum moves.  Going to the library to solve the
puzzle doesn't cost you anything.  The bathroom puzzle just take time.  Be
sure the center square is empty in the end.  Send e-mail address and I can
