Well, I wouldn't say it's a lousy drive.  I for one have had very little 
problems with this drive.  And for the ones I have had, I have found 
solutions for...  But then, I have never tried running the drive as a 
networked drive, so maybe that's it.  I can't remember, but does the 
CM-206 come with network drivers?  Did you try these drivers (assuming 
there are any)?

I'm quite happy with this drive.  I got it for a good price and it gives 
good performance, at least with my system and software.
