I would appreciate a pointer to the right group in that case. My problem is in installing 7th Guest. Here is my hardware: 486 33Mhz Orchid fahrenheit 1280 s3 based SVGA SoundBlaster 16 MCD Misumi CD-ROM hooked on soundblaster. Initially, the installation was complaining that I didn't have enaough memory (I have 16 Meg). I figured it needed more than 570k of conventioanl memory... I could not get that much. Just by loading the SB, CD and mouse drivers I was left with less than 570K. Anyway after installing emm386 and himem I put everything I could in the upper memory and finally managed to install... Now when I start the game I cannot see the manu (Sphinx), instead I see garbage... By guessing I press the button and the game starts. At this point everything is fine. I play for a little while and then try to save, but again the menu comes out in an unrecognizable form!!!... (It looks as if the video mode is not right...). BTW I have not selected SVGA mode as recommended by the installation program... (I tried that too but I cannot play at all...). I would apprecaite any help. Please send me e-mail (or post the answer here if you think others might be interested...) Alex Messaris e-mail: samessar@cec.mtu.edu PS. I also tried loading the VESA driver for my card that I found in the VESA directory of the CD but I am left without enough memory ( < 570k ) to run the program!!!!
