Yes. The audio cleaning discs with the lens brush usually works best, but
should only be used when the drive is no longer reading the CD. I've tried
blowing on the lens with compressed air, but it usually does not work for
any time at all, and can actually do more damage than the brush. 

The only way to clean the lens for certain is to disassemble the drive, but
that should only be done by a qualified technician if you ever want it to
work again :-).
