I'm not a subscriber to this list, but know that this is the right place
to get assistance with my problem, so I ask all you CDROMers.
I have an offer for the Sound Blaster CD at about 450 US dollars.
I'd like to know if the CD drive included is a good one, and if it is a SCSI
CDROM.
As I need to hook it to a PC and to a Mac I'd like to know which
brand is the engine inside, so to get the necessary init for the Mac.
Alternatively -if the SB CD is not SCSI or is proprietary so that no init
can be found for the Mac- is the Apple CD300 a good cd drive? and the Nec
74/84 i (internal/external)? or the newest 3X Nec cd drives?
Please, obviously, answer directly to me or CC: your answer.
Many many thanks.
Maurizio
