Message-ID: Organization: NETCOM On-line Communication Services (408 241-9760 guest) Date: Wed, 16 Feb 1994 19:04:55 GMT Lines: 31 Hello - I apologize if the following mailnote is inappropriate for this newsgroup, but I just have to ask : I am interested in purchasing a CD Ghetto-Blaster that I power in my car with an AC converter. This way I can unplug the CD player and take it with me wherever I go or put it in the trunk and my car won't look like it has a fancy stereo system. I already have the AC converter. My main requirements are : 1 - It must be as rugged as a CD player which is specifically designed for a car. Ghetto-Blasters are rugged, but I would think their design assumption would be for mostly stationary use. 2 - It must have a remote control, so I can change the song or volume without touching the player. 3 - The approximate dimensions I am looking for are 17"*9"*9". I am less interested in fantastic sound than I am in portability and access to my CDROMs in my car. I am interested in the latest CD players that have a round shape to them. I will post a follow-up of the ones I hope fit it in this category (if I'm not flamed for this mailnote). ...cfg... 02/16/94
