I tried reloading the game 6 different times to no avail. I get the opening screen with the ouiji board and as soon as I select start new game...the music starts...the cd spins...I'm thrown back to the dos prompt and I see....Error:file is not a vdx file. What gives.. What I have....a 386dx40. Eteq chipset, AMI bios dated 12/12/91, 8 meg of ram, panasonic 562 2x drive, stereo fx 16 bit stereo sound card, 212m free on my harddrive..... What i have tried to fix it with.....I configured dos 6.2 with a seperate starup menu which has himemm.sys loaded and emm386 not loaded(tried with and without), no other drivers other than my mouse, loaded the new version of v that came with the zip patch file, loaded my video vesa driver. tried everything high, low. I have 7 megs of available xms. 575k free with everything loaded low. 643k free with everything loaded high and Qemm handling my upper mem. I called tech support and was told to remove my smartdrv, which I did and it still doesn't work. I'm at my wits end. Dennis
