Is it as hot as advertised? > I own one, and a NEC MultiSpin. The DRM-604 is incredible. The cache all by itself isn't great, but I haven't found a CD-ROM unit with a sufficient cache yet. The access speed will look REAL bad on paper because it can take eight seconds to switch disks, but the access speed inside one disc feels just fine. Tip: Use Norton SpeedDrive or a similar product to cache the CD-ROM along with your hard disks.
