1) its going to be slow.
2) you lost the parallel port. (in my case, its also the floppy port)
3) i am using always al1000 parallel2scsi connector, texel cdrom, dell notebook.
   its ok to use device driver that come with connector under dos. i have to
   slow down cpu clock to make it work under window3.1 enhanced mode. i have to
   slow down cpu clock all the time if i use the corel device drive.
