You're right. SCSI can be a lot of trouble if you don't understand what its
all about. Then again, it means I can use my tape drive, disk and cdrom with
Dell Unix, Windows NT and DOS without worrying about incompatible drivers
or some weird controller. All my SCSI devices are compatible with anything
I want to do.

It's a lot easier not to bother learning about device ids, proper cabling
and terminations etc, but some day you might grow up and come across a
real computer (HP, IBM, SGI, Sun etc.) that uses SCSI. What then?
