I had this problem when I first bought SA2, but I fixed it by changing the "Set Full Print" value in my laser printer. This value sets the amount of memory devoted to setting up complex text/graphics pages. In my case, I set the value to 20, which allocates 400k (I think) for this purpose. This is probably overkill, but I have 2.5Mb of laser printer memory and this allieviated all problems. I noticed a similar printing problem with Encarta, which was also allieviated by changing the "Set Full Print" value. My one gripe is that this value gets reset to zero every time I turn off my printer. Since my printer is an Epson Action Laser II (HP compatible), I'm sure you have analogous parameters to change... and plenty of memory. The only problem I have with printing out Street Atlas 2.0 maps is that the boldface names (usually cities or districts) are unreadable at high Mag levels. This includes, for example, the DeLorme copyright notice in the lower left corner. Does anyone know a way to stop it from printing in boldface? Does the printing resolution need to be higher than 300dpi to resolve the boldface letters? Thanks, Steve.
