No amount of twiddling IRQ, DMA #s, and port addresses on either the SCSI card or the Logitech Soundman 16 card has any effect. Strangely, if I fill the keyboard buffer before the initial screen comes up, the program will go a little farther, including bringing up the opening screen and even playing some bird chirps. (It still hangs after that). Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated. Details: System: Gateway 2000 20 mhz 386/DX, upgraded to (sorta) 486 20/40 with Cyrix 486DRX^2. 8 Meg ATI Wonder 512K VGA card NEC SCSI CD-AT160 controller NEC 3Xp cd-rom Maxtor SCSI hard drive Seagate RLL hard drive Modem on COM1 Mouse on COM2 Printer on LPT1 MSDOS 6.2 Windows 3.1 (using 27 Meg temp swap file) QEMM 7.03 What the problem isn't: the CPU upgrade (the program didn't work before the upgrade) QEMM (the program didn't work before QEMM) IRQ settings: I've tried the SCSI card at 5 and 11, and the Soundman (in SB compatibility mode) at 7, 5, 3 and 2. No luck. Everything else seems to be working. CD and SCSI disk are accessed without a hitch; Soundman plays other games sounds. I can even play audio cds and a game that uses the Soundman at the same time (mix of game sounds and audio comes out speakers just fine). I've been pulling my hair out for about 3 weeks now (spare time only :) trying to get it to work. MV telephone support was of no help. Please, if you have any suggestions, they would be most welcome. (post or mail, whichever is easier for you) Thanks, Zube
